Acharya Sandhya
Acharya Sandhya Banda has shared the gifts of Yoga and Meditation for over a decade, guiding students of all ages in both the U.S. and India. A lifelong practitioner who stepped onto the mat as a child, she brings a deep respect for Yoga’s roots to her teaching—always prioritizing genuine growth over quick fixes.
Certified in Ananda Yoga & Meditation through Ananda Washington where she underwent 500+ hours of training, Acharya Sandhya creates spaces where beginners and seasoned practitioners feel empowered to grow and evolve alike. Her classes emphasize holistic health, cultivating harmony & inner joy through mindful movement, not just flexibility, helping people find steadiness—both on the mat and in daily life.

Ananda Yoga
Ananda Yoga® aims to bring the ancient sciences yoga back to its original spiritual essence. It combines the best of a revitalizing workout with a gentle inward approach that leaves you feeling mentally rejuvenated and peaceful.
Ananda Yoga® does not focus only on forcing energy up the spine. Instead, it uses asana, pranayama, and meditation techniques to magnetically draw prana up the spine to the brain — safely, gently, and harmoniously. In Ananda Yoga®, we emphasise using the mind not only to become more aware of each asana’s intrinsic energy flow, but the strengthen that flow as a means of raising our consciousness. A primary way in which we use the mind is through affirmations. The natural effects of each posture are enhanced by these powerful affirmations. Thus Ananda Yoga® works on all three levels of body, mind and soul. It is a gentle form of yoga and suits every person respecting individual body types and limitations.
